My personal guess, why PTT does affect the ghost and stops it from hearing you during a true multiplayer session is, that it should avoid abuse and griefing. So PTT gets disabled automatically if you start a singleplayer game, run a multiplayer game solo or you are a VR player. It is well known that the devs wanted the ghost to hear you always and break through the PTT function so you cannot cheat and have to be silent during the hunt phase. No, I am not referring to this patch note. It doesnt mean that the ghost can ALWAYS hear you in singleplayer. Means that when it is set to OFF in the settings, which is NOT the case, you no longer have to use it. The update notes says as follows:"When playing solo, you no longer have to use Push To Talk for the Spirit Box (if turned off in settings)" They somehow re-implemented that bug.Īnd if you are referring to the 0.3.0 update with the "feature". It is a BUG that the host can always be heard. Didnt hear him without pressing the push-to-talk button. then, this is a bug, yes.īut as I lack the exact information I gave you just the official information. If you are saying, your friend is playing non-VR, in multiplayer, and PTT is enabled, and the spirit box or Ouija board is still reacting even without him pressing any button. Testing it in singleplayer is not worth anything. also only affects the host not other members. was even mentioned as a bug in the update notes. this came as a bug before and was fixed in an update.
